Words of Wisdom from DPR...Gratitude
When someone gives you a gift, keep your mouth shut and just say "Thank You". Even if your pride gets in the way and it's hard to accept, don't say "I can't accept this", don't try to barter with someone tit for tat, just say "Thank You." Why? Because if you say anything other than "Thank You" you will ruin the gift and the spirit in which it was given. I believe the MOST OFFENSIVE thing you can do to someone is take away their joy of giving. In fact, the next time I offer a gift and someone says this crap, I'm taking the gift back because they just ruined it for me. Giving is such a wonderful selfless thing to be ruined by such a selfish act of ingratitude. In short, it disgusts me to my very core. There, could I be anymore clear about it.
