Sad but true...

Polls show that 70 percent of Americans think all religious beliefs are about the same and at the end those people will be in Heaven. Even sadder is 55 percent of Evangelical Christians believe this way too. It doesn't surprise me from the standpoint that people are usually pretty positive and don't want to think bad of others. But as our pastor pointed out in church this past Sunday, if you believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, you don't get to pick and choose what parts you like and don't like. Doing so elevates humanity and lowers the status of God. Bottom line, there is only one way to Heaven and most religions in the world are false. But how do you know? A good way to tell is if a religion consistently honors and elevates man over God. As if man, were a God unto himself. A true church is one that always praises, worships and shows obedience to the all mighty God, maker of Heaven and Earth. Now, having said that, I don't think there is any one right way to "do church". A church can take many forms and look pretty different but as long as they hold true to the Bible and stay obedient to God "it's all good".
