Image via WikipediaWe are having some car work done by a friend who is a mechanic. He owns a Great Dane. What an impressive dog! A beautiful animal with a friendly easy going manner. Only thing is, I don't think you should have livestock in your house. I'm mean seriously, this dog is a cow. It could just as well be a cow. When you sit at the table, the dog is face to face and eye level with you. It's like having a third person sitting at the table with you. I didn't even want to look in their back yard to see what he leaves behind (if you know what I mean). I like the traditional look with the bobbed ears. I think all Danes and Dobermans should have their ears cropped. I don't understand how people think it is cruel to bob the ears or the tail of a dog. It usually happens when they are puppies and it's not that big of a deal except some humans choose to treat their animals like little human kids. Now I love my dogs, don't get me wrong, but at the end of the day, it is only a dog. If you want to go back through history, the Lord gave us dominion over the animals. We are their rulers and their pack leaders. I think most problems with biting dogs stem from having weak owners who don't know how to train them and teach them who is the leader of the pack. There's nothing worse than those little Chihuahua dogs who are mean little rats all because their owners treat them like babies. It all started with that "Legally Blond" movie and look what it gave us...Hollywood Blonds and mean little rats posing as dogs.
