1. Obama, who blamed Republicans even when he had total control, will now spend all of him time blaming Republicans for everything.
2. Now the Republicans (unless they win everything) will not have enough votes to over-ride an Obama veto. Nor will they be able to pass any of their agenda or will they be able to over turn anything Obama has done.
3. So for the next two years, you can expect nothing to be done. Which in this case is GOOD. Given all the out of control spending and debt, we are better off with a do nothing congress. With nothing much happening, the presidential election campaign will get an early start.
4. If Obama continues to keep dropping in the polls, don't be surprised if Hillary tries to challenge him. It's very unlikely this will happen but if it looks like THE ONE will come in at NUMBER TWO, I wouldn't put it passed her.
5. Who will be the next president? Who knows? If the economy still stinks, Obama will be out of office. But it also depends on who will rise from the GOP to challenge. It will have to be someone that is a fiscal conservative but one that the independent voters can rally around too. The rank and file Republicans will want a red meat, fire breathing, hard line conservative. But that is a voter the Republicans will have no matter what. In my mind, Romley and Pawlenty and maybe Newt Gingrich are three choices that can calm the hard line and attract the independents. I also like Mike Huckabee. From a moral perspective, he's my guy. I don't agree with him pardoning a murderer but we all make mistakes. No candidate will ever be perfect.
