Or I guess you could say leaders and followers. Here's a good example of what I mean. Fresh out of college I got a job and moved to a small town (population 2000) in south central Minnesota. So what is there to do in the summer when you don't know anyone? Do I hang out at bars or sit at home and watch TV? Well, I decided to start two tennis leagues in town, one for men and one for women. Now since I was the news editor for the newspaper, I could get all the free advertising I wanted so that was a bit of an advantage but I stepped forward to take a chance that we could round up enough tennis players to make it happen. As it worked out, we had plenty of players for two leagues and it was a big success. Anyone could have done what I did...but no one wanted to step out of the box and give it a try. Why not? As Jim Rohn would say, it is one of the great mysteries in life. Why would people with the opportunity and all the tools to make something happen, sit on their rear? We don't know but it doesn't have to be that way. One thing I know for sure ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING. Our attitude determines how we feel about ourselves and others and determines our actions and behaviors. In either case we can choose how we live our life. Do you make things happen or do you let things happen to you?
