Image via WikipediaWent to see the feel good holiday movie True Grit a remake of the original one with John Wayne but this time Jeff Bridges as Rooster Cogburn. Well the girl who plays Matty is like 100 times better than the girl in the original. Hands down a great performance on her part. Jeff Bridges does a very good job as Rooster. Although I'd have to say he is not better at it than John Wayne in the original who won his only Oscar for his performance. I'd also like to give an A plus for making things look and sound so realistic. Often times in movies, all the gun shots sound alike. But here when they shot in the distance it really sounded like they shot in the distance. All in all, on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd have to rate this movie a strong 7.
