Image via WikipediaOne thing unique about living in the desert is that three year guarantee car batteries only last two years. Sure enough, I got in my car coming back from Safeway and it was dead. Lynn came out to jump my car and we were on our merry way but now I have to deal with a car issue. It will be interesting to see how they handle the battery situation since it does have a three year guarantee. Another thing is tires. If you don't have them properly inflated, hot air could get in there and you end up having a tire blow out on the road. The media is saying we are the most ready metro area for electric cars. They are saying we can get 100 miles per charge but that's only if we don't use the air conditioning. Right, like that's going to happen. So you'll be stuck with a car that you have to charge every 30 to 50 miles, won't that be fun. I still say we need to be energy independent as a country and by whatever means necessary. We need to do both alturnative fuels and drill for more oil and gas. We have the energy to make it work so let's go get it. To say we can become independent just on wind and solar power is just not realistic.
