Image via WikipediaThank goodness for "best ball" format. My drives were terrible I think I had only three good drives. When I'm on my game I can usually hit my driver 200-230 yards. I'm still in awe of my golf partner I was assigned to today. This is no lie, he averaged 300 yards per drive. His accuracy wasn't very good but I've never played with anyone that hits it that far. It was amazing. The three good drives I had were never used because this guy was at least75 yards ahead of me.The good news is I was putting well and I did hit the best shot of the day. We had a bad lie after the opening drive. We were behind some trees about 150 over a hill to the green. The three other plays had tree problems. I was the only one to hit it between the small opening through the trees and right on the edge of the green.
This guy also had a golf bag that had an ice cooler built into it. I want one of those. Unfortunately, when you golf as little as I do, it's kinda hard to invest more money into the sport. Now I like golf and if I had the time and money, I would to golf once a week. But if I had the time and money, I would also play tennis 2-3 times a week. Actually, money isn't as big of a requirement to play tennis, so I guess I could play more than I'm playing now, I'll have to work on it.
