Reputation Management is a function of public relations and used my people in the public eye such as politicians and actors. Reputation Repair has to do with cleaning up a mess of negative messages which appear on the Internet. If you have a business and someone wants to get back at you for whatever the reason, people can and do go online and spread lies. I'm not going to say how it's done but it ain't hard to do. The thing is, once it's online, it never dies. The search engine bots and spiders will keep pulling up the information whenever it is searched. So if you want to get rid of negative Internet postings, good luck. Your solution would be to hire a geek that specializes in this sort of thing. I think what they would do is enter tons of positive information to further push down all the negative as far as they can. It's not that it will keep the negative away but it will make it harder for it to come up all the time.
