Nothing like stirring up pet lovers

First off, I love my dog very much. But, he is a dog. He's not a person. He's not on the same level as a person. Because they are beloved pets, certainly I don't advocate mistreating them. That would be heartless. So what happened. A friend was commenting on the overpopulation of dogs and cats in farm country. I thought that was strange since farm dogs and cats get run over by cars all the time. They are coyote lunch and there are still a lot of farmers who shoot ferral cats. So given those conditions, I thought it was interesting that they would have an over population in farm country. Well, some folks now think I'm an animal hating devil. Just shows how much we've spoiled our pets.
