So what is the tipping point to change your life around?

Midtown Phoenix skyline, looking north up Cent...Image via WikipediaWe had a lady at our church who told us how shed lived under a bridge in Phoenix for seven years. In those years she was raped, shot, beaten and was constantly on drugs. So what was her tipping point? You would think being raped, shot and beaten would be motivation to change.  For her it wasn't any of those. On a hot summer day in Phoenix, she woke up in an alley, not knowing where she was as usual. But this time something was different...someone had stolen her shoes. Having to walk barefoot on 100 degree pavement was enough for her to call the first drug program on the list. They did accept her into the program. Problem was, she had to walk 18 miles to get there. With badly burned feet, she managed to get a pair of flip flops at a convenience store and started to walk the rest of the way which turned into a three hour walk in 100+ degree heat. Well, she made it to the program. Got off drugs and started to go to college.  She just recently she received her doctorate in education and is on the staff at Grand Canyon University.  She credits God with saving her life.
