The Top 5 River Towns in Minnesota

4. Red Wing is in a cool spot on the Mississippi. It's a popular spot for Eagle watching, great fishing and a nice tourist town.
3. Redwood Falls has the best city park in the state. It's a city park that would rival any of the state parks. Yes, they do have a falls, in the park and they have a nice golf course in the park as well.
2. Stillwater is wonderful with one of the cleanest rivers in the state in the mighty St. Croix River. Stillwater is know for it's little shops and bed and breakfasts and of course the riverside dining opportunities.
1. Chaska is my favorite. Yes, I'm a little partial having lived there. It has the best of both worlds. Up the hill is a very suburban hip area with the big box retailers. Down the hill by the river you have a beautiful residential area, a downtown shopping area, a great city park with a Gazebo right out of the "Music Man".  They also have the best community center in the area.
