Lynn's visit

Lynn's been here and we've looked at housing and she's had a few informational interviews regarding jobs. She's a bit disappointed to find out to be a hospital social worker out here she would need her Master's degree. It looks like she could easily get a job in a nursing home but she'd rather not go there if she didn't have to. I still think her best bet would be to be a director of an assisted living or retirement apartment building like she was at Westview Acres.
The housing market down here right now isn't too bad and there are a lot of good deals to be had. Scottsdale would appear to be out of the question due to high costs (unless we decided to go the condo route). For a nice 3/4 bedroom home we are looking at being further out to get a home around $200-250,000. But then we are putting the cart in front of the horse on both these issues. We really need to downsize and sell, sell, sell our stuff. Check out the Jonathan garage sales, the last Saturday in April. Then we need to paint, paint, paint and pack, pack, pack to get our home ready to put on the market for this summer. And then we need to be in heavy prayer that our house will sell soon at the right price we need so we don't have to lose money on the deal. Bottom line, we're probably looking at another six months (at the earliest) before Lynn can join me.
