The never ending tennis match
Had a tough match tonight. Lost the first set in a tie breaker and was one game away from a tie breaker and we had to quit because we ran out of time. Once again it was against an old guy. Have I told you lately how much I despise playing these guys! I guess it's because they take away my best weapon...my topspin forehand. They hit such a dead ball that whenever I try to put the least bit of topspin on the ball I hit it long. So then I just have to be patient and place the ball to the corners as best I can without going long. I hate playing that way. That's why last spring I did so well in the league. We didn't have any old guys in the league and I could play people that would let me play my game. The good news is I think I'm done with the old guys and I'm still in the hunt for second place. The other good news is I've really been happy with my serve. After all these years I finally have a pretty hard serve. I just wish it didn't kill my shoulder so much.
