5. It's harder to make money then they tell you. I was told from a friend of mine, that he makes money by getting 25 unique visitors to his website a day. That's a lot of traffic to build.
4. You can be nickle and dime'd to death if you aren't careful. Sure there are a lot of freebies out there and people gotta make money. At some point you will be paying for services.
3. Be careful of scams. Because there are so many scams, try to always do what you need done for free.

1. Phone support is everything. Call me old fashioned, but when I get stuck I can't stand having to send an email and read through a million frequently asked questions. I've concluded that whenever possible, I will not do business with any company that does not have a live person I can talk to, if needed.
