You have the high profile, "Big Shooter/Big Ego" Realtor who is great at schmoozing people and telling them how great he or she is. Unfortunately, when you get beyond cover, they really aren't such nice people and in many cases their image is a total fake.
You also have the realtors who are "abrasive", get the job done types who play fast and loose with the rules, anything to make the sale. These folks can be your best advocate or your worst nightmare. Use caution and work with them only if you feel you can totally trust them.
Lastly we have realtors that I will call "the real deal". These people are genuine and ethical in everything they do and live off of the relationships they build. The best of the best of these realtors are the ones that have been in the business long enough to have seen it all. They have a lot of connections and best of all, they are people you immediately like and trust because they are genuine people. I know I'm probably going to tick a few people off but here's my list of the top realtors that I personally have
worked with and recommend
DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE ORDER, THEY ARE ALL GREAT.
1. Nancy Raddahl. She was our realtor in Chaska and did a tremendous job. In our first house we had a mismatched stove and fridge. No worries, Nancy had a white stove to match them up. We needed new carpet, no worries, Nancy had a carpet guy. We needed our house staged, she had the furniture to do it. A great experience. Nancy Raddahl http://www.carriagehousemn.com
2. Todd Jorgensen, I consider Todd a friend. He's from a great real estate family with parents, brothers and uncles in the business. You might even say if anyone was born to be a realtor, it was him. Todd's a super guy and does well in real estate. I know folks that had him as their realtor and they couldn't say anything negative. But then that's Todd, easy to like, easy to work with and gets the job done. Todd Jorgensen http://www.facebook.com/toddjorgensen
3. Rich Hansen, another fantastic guy. He's been one of the top producing agents for a long time. Rich hired us to take his daughter's wedding photos so I got to know him a bit. He belongs to a dancing family. That wedding was the only wedding we've ever worked at where when the music started playing, everyone got up and danced. I have never seen that happen at any wedding. Pretty amazing. I also remember when I left the Star Tribune, I went to introduce Rich to my replacement, for five minutes Rich went on and on in front of her saying what I great rep I was. I really appreciated that, at least my replacement knew she had some big shoes to fill.

4. Steve Havig. Gotta love Steve, a decorated Viet Nam veteran who does well in the tough Uptown area of Minneapolis. When he came down to see me, he would always bring me a cinnamon roll from Isles Bun and Coffee which was one of his renters in his building. To this day, the cinnamon rolls from Isles Bun and Coffee are still the best ones I've ever had. Steve is an honest, hard working, straight shooter type guy who fits his neighborhood well.

5. Decklynn Theisen. Yes that really is her name. I don't know Decklynn as well as my other friends but I was impressed with what a warm genuine person she was. She had the job of office manager which is something you don't get thrust upon you if you are not an organized type person. Decklynn is really on the ball and does a wonderful job for her clients. She's been in business for some time which certainly speaks volumes considering how many realtors have left the profession.

So there you have it. My version of the Best of the Best in Minnesota Real Estate. I'm sure I left someone out but at this point, I couldn't verify if they were even still in the business so I'm going with what I know.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALL THESE PEOPLE.
