Another great service at my favorite church. Marshal is a fantastic worship director. The music always has lots of soul. Pastor Mike had an interesting sermon. He's going through the ten commandments. This week was on "Thou Shall Not Murder". In the original Hebrew, it is "murder" not "kill". So what does Murder mean? Well from a Biblical perspective, murder is not: capital punishment, an act of war, involuntary manslaughter, self defense or killing an animal. Murder is with malice, premeditated, and intentional. In the New Testament, Jesus amended the definition to include slander and anger towards your fellow man who was created in the image of God as well. Is there any among us who has not murdered someone's reputation with slander?
