More things the big box photography studios don't want you to know...

The photography studios in the big box retail stores have one dirty little secret they don't want you to know..3-.THEY HIRE PHOTOGRAPHERS OFF THE STREET WITH ZERO PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE AND PAY THEM PEANUTS. Hard to believe, I know. Now sometimes these folks grow into becoming very good photographers. But not usually. What they are really looking for when they hire someone is someone with high pressure sales ability. And why is that? Simple (and I've seen this happen many times). If you have a good sales person they can and do convince you that what they have taken is a great shot and worthy of many dollars, even if it isn't.  From the studio's perspective, it's far easier to idiot proof a studio so anyone can take an average photo than it is to train professional sales people. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. Granted you can have a great experience one time but since these jobs are revolving doors, chances are you will have a different photographer each time and the results will vary each and every time.
