Finally checked out this season's American Idol...

All I have to say is Steven Tyler, you are no Simon. But the show will endure. You have to wonder with 99 percent of the people getting  a certain "NO", why all the tears and carrying on?  Plus the ego maniacs who think they are good, you wonder is it all just a show for the cameras or do they really think they are that special and wonderful?  Although, when you consider that anyone can create their own music video and load it up to YouTube, I can see why people may think they are stars.  Look how many people play in bands these days. It's always been a fun thing to do in years past too, but now in the media culture we live in, everyone has the technology to be a star or a least a star in their own minds.
