Image via WikipediaMy wife Lynn just got back from North Dakota and she had the opportunity to talk to a man who is part of the boom times. I guess when they started they had 250 oil wells. Now when all is said and done, they are looking at 250,000 oil wells. This guy said that for those who are inexperienced, they are looking at salaries of $2500 a week. If you have experience it's $4500 a week. Great money, I can see why so many folks are going there. The oil man said that in Williston, ND they have four fast food stores and only one laundry mat, and I guess it's very difficult to find a time get your laundry done. Also, Walmart opens on noon on Sunday and before it opens up the parking lot is full and folks have to wait in line over an hour just to check out. As far as where people live, well that's another issue. It's very difficult to find a place to live but I guess they are rapidly putting up temporary housing. So the Williston area is boom town central. Sounds like a great place to have a fleet of those lunch wagon RV's. Or even to start a laundry mat. So North Dakota is the place to go. Check it out.
