Abby called today to say she was at a friends house after they had to evacuate the campus because a bomb threat was called in. Sounds like they got them out of there pretty fast. Whenever something happens on the scope of a Virginia Tech, it seems to bring out all the crazies and copy cats. It just goes to show, the devil is alive and well and political correctness is not the answer. People need Jesus in their lives to have any chance to ward off the attacks from Satan.
Secondly, I awoke today to the sounds of police cars and SWAT teams in front of our house. It turns out an ex-boyfriend took his truck and bashed through the garage door of his ex-girlfriends house located a block away. He got in the house and he had a gun. The family was able to get out of the house and the SWAT team sealed him in. He later gave up without a fight. I don't think there's any question that we've become a much more violent society and I pray Jesus will come back soon.
