At the golf course

The weather was strange today. Which is very unusual for June in the Valley. It was supposed to be between 90-95 today, well a front came through. It was very windy, cloudy and rained for three very chilly holes. Then it was fine. Just to get rain in June here is almost unheard of.

It was a best ball charity tournament at a golf course out in Sun City West for a girl that needs a kidney transplant. Our team finished on under so we were about in the middle of the pack. I couldn't hit my driver to save my life. On the last two holes I switched over to my three wood and did great. All in all, I'm glad it was best ball because I played horrible. But then that's what best ball tournaments are for, to cover up the weakest link.

Got to meet Kwami Lassiter. He played football for the Cardinals for ten years as a defensive back. His friend, was a guy who used to play for the Eagles. Plus there was a guy by the the name of Mark Schultz who used to be the third baseman for the Detroit Tigers. His nick name is Orangeman because his trademark is to wear orange colored clothes. Actually kind of a cool idea when you think of it. What a great way to brand yourself so you'll be remembered. Don't know that orange would be my color.
