Northridge Church Rocks

Gee, this is getting to be a familiar headline. This time it was posted after I went to another church. It's not that other churches are so bad, it' just that Northridge is way better than any other church I've ever attended. Do other chuches play rock music? Yes. Do other churches have good sermons? Yes. So what's the difference? Northridge doesn't "play it safe". They aren't afraid to step out of the box and do things differently. For me, I've never been to a church where I've laughed and cried as much as I have with this one. I've never been to a church where I absolutely LOVE the music and that includes both the "Rock" and "Traditional" services. Now I haven't been to the traditional service all that much but the three times I've seen it, I've been very impressed. It seems like so many churches play contemporary music but so few of them play it with soul or even do it all that well. I think that whatever path a church decides to take on their worship music, they should stay the course and be excellent. Too many churches think that if they play a few contemporary songs it doesn't matter how well they play them. With worship music, you need to feel the Spirit of God moving and it doesn't work if it's not excellent.
