Happy July 4th

Mill Avenue Bridges over Tempe Town Lake at dusk.Image via WikipediaOne thing that is great about 4th of July out here in Arizona, you don't have to fight the bugs and skeeters like you do in the midwest. Of course it will be 100 degrees outside at night but it's not so bad. The big celebration is usually at Tempe Town Lake. One thing we don't have is the tradition of the 4th of July Parade. It would be way too difficult on those marching bands and parade units to survive.

It looks like the Monsoon season is starting this week as we are getting cloudy and windy conditions late in the afternoon and early evening.  We all have our hopes up for some much needed rain. It is bone dry out here, we could use a break.
