Hard to believe I know but this is the first measurable rain since last winter. Thursday in the western part of the Valley they even had a category 1 Tornado hit a very small area of town. Yes, during the monsoon season we can have severe thunderstorms and tornadoes because we usually have 50 to 70 percent humidity. We have about one more month of this humid weather and they we can go back to the nice dry heat we've all come to enjoy. Hey, school starts out here in one week. Not sure why they start so soon. I feel sorry for the football players that have to practice in this sweat box. One local high school team is going up to Prescott for one week of cool practice. But why bother? When they get back it will still be hot.
